Continuing the tradition of last seven years Epilepsy foundation team participated in Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018 on 21st Jan. Total participants from Epilepsy Foundation were 272 which included 2 for 10 kms, 12 Half Marathon & 243 Dream Run and Corporate Challengers Anand Rathi Insurance Brokers Ltd with the team of 15. Total fund Raised during the Marathon is Rs. 25,16,708/-

Many Members from Epilepsy Foundation and most of the Trustees ran the Marathon. Dr. Nirmal Surya the Change Leader & Mr. Sanjay Dangi and Mr. Rakeshh Mehta the Change Makers were there at Flag off stand to encourage runners of Epilepsy Foundation.

Most interesting more than 150 plus patients & care giver of patients also participated in Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018.

Epilepsy Foundation had put up a stage at Marine Drive opp. Piazza by the Bay which was specially design for awareness about Epilepsy. The message was to discourage superstition or Shoe or Onion on nose when patient gets convulsion but to take medical help from doctors. The care giver & Epilepsy Foundation Member were continuously invited at the stage to create awareness about epilepsy through dances, Acts, Yoga etc.

Actor Shailesh Lodha was brand Ambassador for Epilepsy Foundation which not only is treating epilepsy in Maharashtra but also creating awareness of epilepsy by conducting various Free clinics, free medicines distribution, camps, etc. He appealed to the society to consult doctor and stay away from superstitions.

Zee talent‘s artist also performed. It’s not only the celebrities but also patient who came on stage to support the cause by performing yoga, dances etc.

All the runners, patients and care givers were invited for a sumptuous Brunch at the office of Epilepsy Foundation on their way back home.
